ALH Law Group is a close‑knit, diverse team where every member contributes their dedication and skill to our mission—and embodies our values both inside and outside the office.
To help you better understand who does what at the firm, I’m breaking down each team member’s role and how they support our clients every day.
Allison is our founder and CEO—also known as the “ALH” of ALH Law Group. She started the firm in 2014 with a big dream and a smartphone from Costco. Since then, Allison has grown the firm to include 10 team members (and counting), licensing in five states, with offices in Ohio and Minnesota.
Allison’s passion for inclusivity in the legal space and her dedication to protecting vulnerable communities drive both her work and the firm’s success.
In addition to overseeing the administrative operations that keep the firm running smoothly, Allison is an attorney licensed in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. Her primary practice areas include:
Allison is also the host of the CBUS MOB Podcast, highlighting minority‑owned businesses—primarily in the Columbus, Ohio area. Her commitment to supporting the LGBTQ+ community, minority‑owned businesses, and auto dealers is at the heart of the incredible work ALH Law Group does.
Alex is an Ohio attorney who has helped hundreds of clients with their estate planning and probate needs. Alex treats her clients with care and compassion, walking them through challenging conversations with kindness, making them feel more comfortable through what can be a difficult and confusing time. Here is how Alex owns each of her practice areas:
Alex firmly believes everyone should have an estate plan, no matter their net worth or assets. Estate planning ensures your wishes are respected even after your death. Alex works with clients from the very beginning, the initial consultation, until the very end of the process, the signing meeting. She answers questions, drafts documents, makes revisions, and ensures her clients’ wishes are clear.
Most of the time, when a loved one passes away, their assets will go through the probate process. Alex is here to help you through this confusing and time-demanding process. Alex acts as the executor/fiduciary of several estates, files the necessary paperwork, attends probate court hearings, and keeps you updated throughout the process, easing the burden off of you. Alex handles probate cases in Franklin County, OH.
Alex has been with ALH Law Group since October 2023, where she began as a law clerk. She became an attorney in November 2024 and has been rocking it ever since. She keeps the office vibes high and is always happy to help where she can.
Shelby is the Small Claims Lady, but she handles the big claims, too. Shelby joined ALH Law Group in October 2024 and has become our resident litigator, always ready to defend business owners in civil litigation cases.
When she is not representing business owners in court, she is sending demand letters, drafting and filing motions, and communicating with clients every step of the way. Shelby is licensed in Ohio and her primary practice areas are:
Shelby is passionate about her work assisting clients through their legal issues, providing information in a digestible format and communicating clearly and often. Her dedication to supporting minority-owned businesses and auto dealers is evident through her success in her work and in her day-to-day life.
Shelby and our Chief Morale Officer, her Standard Poodle Jolene, add their excitement and dedication to our daily operations, which shines through in Shelby’s work and uplifts those around her.
Patrick joined ALH Law Group in August 2025 and has brought an entirely new perspective to the group. He is licensed in Minnesota and Nebraska and comes with an extensive background in bankruptcy law. His “newfangled” approach to legal work allows him to connect with clients on a more personal level, providing easy-to-understand assistance. Patrick is passionate about keeping clients in-the-know while avoiding difficult legal jargon and approaching his work with care.
At ALH Law Group, Patrick focuses on:
Patrick’s extensive knowledge and experience allows him to step in to help wherever he is needed. Patrick leads our Minnesota office, contributing his business development knowledge and growing the firm to help as many people as possible.
Patrick also hosts his podcast, The Newfangled Lawyer, where he welcomes other like-minded lawyers and professionals to discuss their work and what drives them.
Sierra is a paralegal with several years of experience, who contributes greatly to our estate planning operations. Sierra had been with ALH for several years before welcoming her two children into the world.
She has since returned and works part time to write the initial drafts of all estate planning documents. Sierra is an integral part of the estate planning process, even outside of drafting when she occasionally communicates with clients to retrieve additional information and provides necessary updates. Sierra works at all hours of the day (or night), and always shows up positively.
Stacey is our firm’s litigation paralegal, who keeps our litigation cases running smoothly. Stacey keeps track of all of our deadlines to ensure none are missed, drafts motions, files necessary documents, and acts as a main point of contact for our Court Order Title clients.
Stacey has been with ALH Law Group since December 2023 and has continuously grown her skills and knowledge, making her a powerful force in her position. Her easygoing nature and willingness to take on anything thrown her way is what makes her a great addition to the team.
Kristin is part of our marketing and PR team, executing her role as the social media and brand manager flawlessly. Kristin recruits CBUS MOB podcast guests, manages our outreach, coordinates and plans ALH Law Group’s in-person events, and carefully crafts all of our social media posts.
Kristin has been with ALH Law Group since August 2021, where she has continuously succeeded in translating our firm’s values into all client-facing materials. Kristin embodies the heart of the firm and is a valuable asset to our marketing team.
To put it simply, Wynnie wears a lot of very important hats and she wears them well. Wynnie manages our tech, automations, video/podcast/website editing, onboarding, and client communications. She also assists with drafting, client intake, social media, and so much more. She is a wealth of knowledge and is able to jump in wherever she is needed.
Since she joined ALH Law Group in August 2022, she has been continuously working behind the scenes to make our processes more user-friendly and efficient. Almost every legal document, form/questionnaire, video, and communication clients see has been masterfully impacted by Wynnie’s hard work.
Kenneth recently moved out of the receptionist role and into one that allows his skills as a data guru to flourish. Kenneth manages our data analytics, sharing them in a way that is comprehensible, allowing us to make the necessary adjustments to keep moving forward.
Kenneth’s passion for client communication still shines through, as he handles following up with potential new clients, setting up their client portals, helping clients pay their bills, and troubleshooting their accounts. Kenneth manages our tech stack and programs automations that make our jobs easier.
In addition to the great work he has done since beginning with ALH Law Group in September 2024, Kenneth’s positive attitude and willingness to help anyone who needs it contributes greatly to our team’s morale.
Lastly, me! I joined ALH Law Group in September 2025 with a draw to the firm’s dedication to the LGBTQ+ community through estate planning and name and gender marker changes. In the office, I am our office manager and legal assistant. I manage our mail, ensuring all mail we receive is forwarded appropriately to clients and sending outbound mail to clients, courts, etc. I prepare documents/folders, complete important call tasks on behalf of our clients, and manage the attorneys’ calendars, ensuring operations run smoothly and taking some stress off of the attorneys.
I am also our receptionist, so I help any client or potential new client who calls ALH Law Group navigate their questions, schedule appointments, understand our pricing structure, or provide updates, while also welcoming clients into our Ohio office.
We’re always looking for passionate, like‑minded individuals who share our values and commitment to client care.
Apply today—we’re always accepting applications, because you never know when the right person will find us.
